Smouldering: Indian actress Freida Pinto poses suggestively in a vest and panties in a photoshoot for the April issue of men’s magazine Esquire

What a beauty: Pinto talks about her romance with Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel

Since leaping to fame in Slumdog Millionaire four years ago, Freida Pinto has become a regular on ‘most beautiful women in the world’ lists.

But in a glossy new photoshoot, the Indian actress has revealed his rarely seen sexy side as she peels for for a raunchy new interview.

The 27-year-old talks frankly about her nude scenes in her latest film Trishna – an Indian-set reworking of Tess Of The d’Urbervilles – in the April issue of Esquire UK magazine.

Pinto briefly appears naked in a sex scene in the Michael Winterbottom-directed film, but recently admitted she enlisted a butt double for the sequence.

When asked about filming the scenes, she tells Esquire: ‘It was hard but it was a small crew, and they were good at not making their presence felt.

‘They didn’t go, "Quick! She’s nearly naked! Get your camera out!"’

And although she did strip off for this film, fans shouldn’t expect nude scenes to become a regular occurrence, with Pinto insisting the script would have to justify them.

She explained: ‘If you’re just doing a nude scene in order for everyone to, like, w*** off or something, then that’s not my thing at all.’

Pinto is now living with her English boyfriend Dev Patel, 21, who handpicked her to be his love interest in Slumdog Millionaire.

She recalled: ‘They asked him, "Out of the girls, who would you take on a date?" And apparently he said me.’

She admitted the couple often watch their early interviews together on YouTube.

She said: ‘The two of us are all over the place. We’re laughing at each other’s jokes and they’re not funny at all, but we’re just encouraging each other.

‘Now I’ve learned all these tricks. Always smile, and look slowly from left to the right. But in 2009, I was new to all of it. It was the Alice in Wonderland effect. Angelina Jolie would walk past and I was, like, "Seriously?"’
