As one of Hollywood’s rising stars you would assume that Anne Hathaway would want to be compared to some of her peers of the silver screen.
But the talented 28-year-old has admitted she compares herself to a very surprising person – Jersey Shore’s Snooki.
Anne made the surprising admission during a recent chat with Interview Magazine which accompanied a stunning classically themed photo shoot.

‘I like to watch MTV for escapist pleasure, but when I saw Snooki, I saw my twin,’ the One Day actress revealed.
‘I couldn’t lose myself in the show anymore because there I was… That being said, I think JWoww is amazing. I love JWoww. She’s intense. See, JWoww to me is proper Jersey because she will scrap for a friend.’
Yet, despite her affiliation with the female members of the reality show cast, Anne appears to not have a similar connection with the male stars.

‘The Situation is totally self-aware. He’s referring to himself as The Situation non-stop,’ she said.
‘In the episode I saw, his car got towed, and he was like, ‘We’ve got a situation here, and The Situation is the situation,’" she joked.
But the main reason Anne began to watch the show in the first place was to reminisce about her own childhood trips to the shore.
‘When I first saw the show, I thought, Wow, they are having a very different experience there than my experience in Cape May.’
‘I thought the first season of the show was awesome because it was authentic, but I don’t watch it any more because now they know that there’s a camera there.’
Other than a secret love of reality television, Anne let slip about her current obsession with the royal wedding and Duchess of Cambridge.
‘Right now, I’m obsessed with Kate Middleton. Obsessed. I loved the Royal Wedding. I was so cynical going into it, and pseudo-political about the whole thing, but as soon as I saw her I was utterly charmed.
I’m just completely enchanted by Kate and William. With everything she’s doing right now, I say, ‘Yay, Kate.”
In her highly anticipated new movie One Day, her character Emma enjoys a close friendship with college friend Dexter, who is portrayed by Jim Sturgess. It follows the pair on the same day over 20 years and charts the ups and downs in their lives.
Making friends: Cat Deeley and Anne hit it off when British beauty Deeley was guest-hosting the morning show Live With Regis and Kelly today
Hathaway admitted that she can relate to her character. She explained: "I was cripplingly shy in certain areas and uncomfortable with being the center of attention. So I really related to Emma’s insecurities."
But she has come in for some criticism over her northern England accent which some reviewers don’t feel has quite hit the mark.
