Artist Cerith Wyn Evans goes nude for Marc Jacobs campaign
He’s known for his outlandish ad campaigns – famously styling Victoria Beckham in nothing but a giant carrier bag and Helena Bonham Carter with the measles.
Nonetheless, the latest offerings from Marc Jacobs have managed to raise more than a few eyebrows.
The series of ads, shot by renowned fashion photographer Juergen Teller, show a 53-year-old artist Cerith Wyn Evans leaping around a yard with nothing but a bunch of balloons protecting his modesty.

Subtle: Very few Marc Jacobs products actually feature in the campaign, with a pair of boots, a bag and a suit being the only items modelled by Mr Evans
In the less revealing shots from the series, Mr Evans stands with his back to the lens, the colourful balloons obscuring all but a glimpse of his bare bottom.

The images raise the obvious question: where are the clothes?
But fans of the designer’s work will recognise the unconventional approach to Marc Jacobs’ advertising campaigns.
Unconventional: Marc Jacobs enjoys pushing the boundaries in his adverts
The recent womenswear ads featuring Helena Bonham Carter did little to actually show the designer’s clothes either – or at least, show them in the slick, styled way we are used to from big fashion brands’ campaigns.
n fact, Ms Bonham Carter reports that she never actually met Jacobs, and was given great freedom in the way the images looked and the way she wore the clothes.
Freedom: Frankly, I had a great day dressing up and playing around,’ said Helena Bonham Carter of her part in the Marc Jacobs campaign
The King’s Speech star, 45, who is married to director Tim Burton, said the shoot, also photographed by Juergen Teller, was ‘like no other fashion campaign.’
‘Frankly, I had a great day’s fun of dressing up and playing around with Juergen,’ she said.
And Victoria Beckham, who starred in an earlier campaign, was shot in a giant Marc Jacobs carrier bag, with nothing more than the collar of a pink shirt on show.
