Golden moment: Clockwise from upper left, Claudia Schiffer on Zeit Magazin, Anna Dello Russo on 10, Natalia Vodianova on British Harper’s Bazaar, Abbey Lee Kershaw on Vogue Germany, Toni Garrn on Vogue España and Cindy Crawford on Vogue India.

Sorry Miu Miu, but there’s a new sheriff in town.

Fashion magazines are suffering another embarrassing case of copycat syndrome — following this summer’s overexposure of a certain Miu Miu frock — thanks to a gold Balmain dress appearing on six fall magazine covers, Fashionologie reports.

To top it off, the $30,000 (eeps!) gown was also worn out by supermodel Natalia Vodianova — who dons the dress on December’s British Harper’s Bazaar — to a party for the magazine earlier this week.

Apparently, originality is soooo last season.

Although it’s hard to blame fashion editors for falling hard for the glitzy Fall 2010 gown, worn by — deep breath — Vodianova, Cindy Crawford for the October Vogue India, Abbey Lee Kershaw for the August Vogue Germany, Claudia Schiffer for Zeit Magazin’s 40th Anniversary Issue, Toni Garrn for the November Vogue España, and Vogue Japan editor Anna Dello Russo for 10’s Winter 2011 issue.

And according to Fashionologie, there may be a seventh appearance on its way, with Anne Hathaway rumored to be wearing a "sparkly gold" Balmain on Elle UK’s December cover.

Good grief. That dress gets around more than Charlie Sheen during happy hour.
