The 2016 (17th) Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival is set to be held from November 26th to December 31st this year.
 
Haikou will be the main venue for the carnival this year. The exciting event will kick off at the Hainan International Conference and Exhibition Center with an opening ceremony on the morning of November 26th.
 
 
The Hainan Carnival, which annually attracts both locals and travelers from near and far, creates a carnival atmosphere covering the whole of Hainan Island, with a variety of events and exhibitions happening throughout the Carnival period.
 
To encourage more potential participants to come out and enjoy this year’s events, there are eight main festival events planned for Haikou, including:

As the sub-venue for the Hainan Carnival, Sanya will also host a series of events to celebrate the yearly festival, including the 8th Sanya International Food Carnival. Foodies won't want to miss this exciting chance to try all the best Hainan cuisine in one place.
 
 
During the carnival tourism promotion month from November 25th to December 25th, 19 cities and counties across the island including Wuzhishan, Wanning, Lingshui, Baoting, Ledong, and Sanya will jointly promote their tourism products and six tour routes.
