Few major events in Haikou over the 2016 Spring Festival
The 2016 Spring Festival falls on February 8th. The holiday in China starts from February 7th to 13th. This coming year is the Year of the Monkey, according to the Chinese zodiac.
Haikou has its own traditions for celebrating the Spring Festival, including temple fairs, prayer ceremonies, exhibitions, and fun fairs at the park. Experience the traditional customs, unique beauty and irresistible glamour of the tropical city.

Haikou Light Festival 海口灯光节
A total of 18 million lights in every color and shape are on display at the Haikou Evergrande Cultural and Tourist City in celebration of the traditional Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival, which fall on January 8th and 22nd, respectively, this year.
The installations match light with specific architecture, creating a captivating display of color. Various lighting-themed shows, including “Time Channel,” “Volcano,” and “Giant Moon” will dazzle visitors during the festival.

Spring Festival Exhibition 海口万春会
The 2016 Spring Festival exhibition kicked off on February 5th at the at Haikou Evergreen Park, providing a fun place for tourists and residents to enjoy featured tourism, leisure, entertainment, and more.
Visitors to the festive celebration can enjoy a series of stunning scenes including hundreds of fancifully shaped Spring Festival lanterns, cultural performances, and other themed activities.

Hainan Bougainvillea Exhibition 海南三角梅花展
A holiday drive to Binhai Park will reward visitors with a delightful treat, especially for plant and flower enthusiasts. A Bougainvillea Exhibition, showing more than 50 varieties of bougainvilleas, is on display at the park, including a seven-layer “Blessing Tower” decorated with colorful bougainvillea flowers.
