Lantern Show draws crowds at New Town in Sanya Bay
Bright lanterns in every color and shape are on display at the New Town in Sanya Bay in celebration of the traditional Lantern Festival, which falls on March 5th this year.
Along with interactive activities, a total of 60 sets of magnificent lanterns, which combine the elements of traditional handicraft and high technologies, dazzled visitors during this year’s lantern show.
The lanterns are arranged in 6 theme areas, such as dream castle, charming Sanya, wild adventure, dreams for the future, and more.
According to the management office of the lantern show, the lantern show will last until May.
The lantern show has been set up to entertain the public during the holiday and to allow more people to learn about Chinese traditional folk culture as well.
Transportation: Buses No.8 and No.27 stop at Xincheng Road (新城路). The Lantern Show Scenic Spot is about a 300-meter walk to the west of the Merry Mall and China Folk's Restaurant (灯展园区在美丽汇、百姓厨房往西约300米处).
