The lanterns are arranged in 8 theme areas, such as Spring Festival folklore, customs, dreams for the future, a happy life, and more.
 
Organized by the Haikou municipal government, the lantern show has been set up to entertain the public for free during the holiday, and to allow more people to learn about Chinese traditional folk culture as well. 
 
The lantern show will be on display until February 14th.
