2012 International Surfing Festival opens in Riyue Bay, Wanning, Hainan Province on Jan. 8.

The festival consists of two surfing events, the traditional ISA China Cup starting from Jan 8 and the competition of Hainan Classic, an ASP Men’s 4-Star set to conclude on Jan 14.

The 3-day ISA China Cup features 8 finest surfers from top eight qualified countries including USA, Australia, France, South Africa, Brazil and Peru to compete for the $ 20,000 USD prize.

Following completion of the ISA China Cup, the Hainan Classic, an ASP Men’s 4-Star with a $ 95,000 USD prize-purse, will commence from Jan.11 to 14. Much like the ISA China Cup, the contest will draw 40 top male competitors from all over the globe.

During the surfing competition, a series of activities including beach concert, beach fashion shows and body painting performances will be held to enrich the surfing event.
