Haitang Show, China’s first large-scale original musical show is to take the stage in Wanda Theater, Haitang Bay, Sanya on September 16, announced over a press conference by Sanya Municipal Government and Wanda Art Performance Co. Ltd in Beijing on July 29.

 

It is the first time a Chinese contemporary original show co-presented by 6 international artists in China.

The show’s creator, Gale Edwards, an Emmy award-winner, will make her directorial debut in China and hopes that the Chinese audiences will embrace the original musical show performed by international groups.

Set in an old love story in Haitang Bay, Haitang Show will bring advanced techniques and experience from abroad to give Chinese audiences an excellent performance.

"It is a good start to create our own original productions to enrich the Hainan culture,” said a spokesman of a travel agency.

At present, more than 20 local travel agencies are in the joint efforts to promote this cultural product.
