Baosteel Metal Shanghai Baoyi Can-making Co Ltd supplied the first lot of 300,000 two piece steel cans for beer packaging to Hainan Asia Pacific Brewery Company Ltd under Heineken Group.

Heineken Group is one of the world’s largest brewers whose Heineken beer sells to more than 170 countries and regions in the world. In recent years, Heineken Group actively explores Asian markets and set up several joint ventures in Shanghai, Hainan, and other places in China respectively.

In order to cooperate with this world class beverage magnate, Baoyi has made efforts for years. Compared with traditional carbonated beverage industry, the brewing industry, especially the beer products, impose higher requirements on preservation, taste, leak proof cans, etc.

In order to avoid the metal ions in the packaging materials being absorbed by beer, thus affecting the freshness and taste, Baoyi Can-making Co Ltd. carried out a series of brainstorming to tackle these subjects. Finally, it passed Heineken Group’s supplier qualification examination with the excellent composite score of 92 points.
