Chanthu heads towards China at 11kph, may bring more rain to Hainan

Tropical Storm Chanthu has slowed down as it moves out of the Philippines, the Philippines weather bureau said Tuesday.
In its 5:00 a.m. weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 4:00 a.m., the cenrte of the storm was located at 420 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City in the Philippines.
The storm is packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the centre with gustiness of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
It is moving slowly northwest at 11 kilometer per hour heading towards China. But Wednesday morning, Pagasa said it expects Chanthu to be 610 west northwest of Dagupan City or 580 kilometers west of Laoag City.
