Hainan has eventually won the bid to host the 23rd National Book Trade Fair in 2013 as a result of the continuous efforts.

 

Previously called the national book fair, the expo has gone from a mere book fair to a more comprehensive event featuring exhibits, transactions, information exchanges and other cultural activities.

 

Sponsored by the General Administration of Press and Publications, the National Book Fair is now the largest publication trade show in China.

 

The organizers said they will take the opportunity to showcase Hainan’s recent developments by combining the tourism and publication industry.

 

The main venue will be set up in Haikou. Other cities like Sanya, Danzhou and Wanning will organize relevant activities to support the event.
