Calligraphy works auction held at Hainan Museum
Ode to the Olympics by Zhang Huichen
The auction of calligraphy works created by artist Zhang Huichen was opened to the public at Hainan Museum on April 12.
A total of 154 works of calligraphy are on display. The most eye-catching is a reading scroll Ode to the Olympics with 16 meters in length and 0.7 meters in width.
Zhang Huichen is one of the most famous calligraphers in the present age. He is also a member of Chinese Calligrapher Association, the director of Liu Bingsen calligraphy and painting art research institute center and director of Painting and Calligraphy Institute of Beijing.
In recent years, Zhang has been devoting to the charitable activities. The calligraphy exhibition will last 3 days until April 14 and then an auction is to be held on April 15 at Haikou Beauty Tao Art Center and part of the earnings will be given away to Hainan Child Welfare Institution.
