The fixed asset investment of the entire Hainan Province and society will reach RMB 3,520 billion from 2010 to 2020, among which about RMB 1,200 billion in six years from 2010 to 2015 will appear
 
On the afternoon of July 8, Mr. Deng Xiaogang, Vice Chairman of Tourism Development Committee of Hainan Province and principal of drafting group of Hainan International Tourism Destination Construction and Development Planning Outline (hereinafter referred to as Planning Outline), revealed during the special interpretation meeting of this Planning Outline that with primary consideration, the fixed asset investment of the entire Hainan Province and society will reach RMB 3,520 billion from 2010 to 2020, among which about RMB 1,200 billion in six years from 2010 to 2015 will appear.
 
The Planning Outline puts forward that when investments within budge of the central government and other central special investments are arranged for infrastructures and ecological construction for the Hainan International Tourism Destination, policy for West Development shall be carried out. Make effort to innovate the investment and financing approaches. Set up Hainan International Tourism Destination Development Fund and Hainan Tourism Development Special Fund as investment and financing platforms and in addition, perform favorable fiscal and land policies.
 
Plenty of investment will be required in the future. It is preliminary assumed that the fixed asset investment of the entire province and society will be RMB 3,520 billion from 2010 to 2020, among which about RMB 1,200 billion will emerge within six years from 2010 to 2015. Such huge amount of fund not only needs newly established investment and financing platforms, but also requires innovations for the previous investment and financing approaches.
 
There are 10 major items with 40 subitems in recent action plan brought forward by Planning Outline, including public collection of logo and mascot for Hainan International Tourism Destination, selection or appointment of Image Ambassador of Hainan International Tourism Destination, completion of construction and reconstruction of tourism toilets, promotion of reform in tourism administrative setup, etc..
 
Deng Xiaogang said that Tourism Union of Hainan Province will be set up within a few years. In addition, a number of affiliates in shopping, catering, entertainment, diving, etc. will be established according to tourism factors to constitute complete organization in tourism industry with the union as basis and affiliates as branches. Most affair coordination is performed by the Union and affiliates. The government will thoroughly separate from personnel and finance of tourism industry within two years.
