German-themed party held at Four Points by Sheraton Hainan
Not contented with its weeklong Indian food festival in March, the busy Four Points by Sheraton Hainan, Sanya has been at it again. This time around, with an event celebrating the internationally-popular German beer festival of Oktoberfest, the Sanya Bay hotel outdid itself and delivered a fantastic German-themed party with German food and drinks to match.
The event was Sanya Bay’s first traditional Oktoberfest celebration, and was dubbed the 2013 Gran Lavida Oktoberfest. The celebrations ran from Oct. 3rd to 5th 2013 in the evenings, and lavished guests with unlimited German beer and food while they enjoyed fantastic entertainment. For many, the highlight was the German sausages, which went perfectly with the unlimited German beer, and the fantastic live performances from German band Muenchner Musikanten. And as if that weren't enough, many guests also walked away with amazing lucky draw prizes, including round-trip flight tickets to various cities, five-star hotel stays, golf packages, hotel meal vouchers and much more.
The band that played, Muenchner Musikanten, has been wowing audiences for decades around the world. In 1995 they were invited for the first time to Xiamen, China and they have subsequently performed in Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao and many other cities. In fact, they have visited nearly 40 cities in China and performed over 700 times since they first came the country 18 years ago. During this period, they have cooperated with many international five-star hotels and groups including IHG, Marriott, Sheraton and Kempinski.
During the 2013 Gran Lavida Oktoberfest, Muenchner Musikanten gave their first shows in Sanya, and stunned the guests at the hotel with their enthusiastic, powerful and inspiring performances.
The authentic German beers available during the event included Tucher and Erdinger, both of which boast famously sublime flavors and textures.
The band also performed their version of the Chinese National anthem, along with popular songs from the era of Shanghai Tang in Chinese and other languages.
Guests at the party, mainly families, had a ball and all ages were entertained – from young children to their grandparents.
The Four Points by Sheraton Hainan, Sanya officially opened for business on 29th September, 2012 in Sanya Bay.
The Four Points by Sheraton Hainan, Sanya is Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ ninth hotel on Hainan Island, and is under the management of Sheraton.
The hotel, with 370 spacious and stylish guest rooms and suites, is situated just across from the beach at Sanya Bay, near many great restaurants, bars and other nightlife options. Shopping and night markets are also plentiful. Another great bonus of the location is that Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX) is just a 15-minute car ride away.
