Hainan Airlines is the largest privately-owned air transport company

Hainan Airlines (600221) recorded passenger throughput of 1.45 million in June, unchanged from the same period of last year, reports Yicai.com, citing a company announcement.

Freight throughput rose 14.2 percent year-on-year to 21,500 tons in June.

Passenger turnover was up 10.6 percent year-on-year to 249,600 passenger-kilometers in June while overall turnover rose 14.2 percent year-on-year to 27,600 tonne-kilometers.

Passenger load factor (PLF) climbed 7.4 percentage points year-on-year to 82 percent in June. Freight load factor reached 72 percent in June, up 6.6 percentage points year-on-year.
 
Shares of Hainan Airlines gained 4.81 percent to close at 5.45 yuan yesterday.
