Lights off for Earth Hour at Holiday Inn Resort Yalong Bay
On Saturday 31 March 2012 at 8:30pm, Holiday Inn Resort Yalong Bay will join hundreds of millions of people across the globe by switching off the exterior and public area lighting for one hour – Earth Hour, the world’s largest public action for the environment.
By taking part in this global ‘lights out’ event, the resort is acknowledging their commitment to personal and operational actions that benefit the planet. This was the fourth year that Holiday Inn Resort Yalong Bay participate in Earth Hour
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. Soon after that, Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement.
