A 12-member delegation of local travel agencies from Japan arrived in Sanya on October 25th, 2017, to start a study tour of tourism resources in the Greater Sanya Tourism Zone.

The visit is part of Sanya’s “Invite In” marketing strategy in key tourism markets to help develop the city into an international seaside tourist hub in the South China region.

Japan is an important tourist source market for Sanya. Sanya has been working to promote the city as an emerging tourist destination for Japanese travelers. The Sanya Phoenix Airport recently launched a new Sanya-Guangzhou-Osaka route to boost inbound tourists.

During their five-day visit, the Japanese delegation will tour around some of the city’s international brand hotels, golf courses, and cruise terminal facilities. They aim to give suggestions on how to design more tailored tourism products for Japanese tourists so that Japanese visitors to Sanya can enjoy higher quality holidays and better leisure facilities and experiences.
