2 world-class cruise ships bring some 3000 visitors to Sanya
Two international cruise ships, “Crystal Symphony” from the Bahamas, and “AIDAbella” from Germany, docked at the Sanya Phoenix Island international Cruise Terminal on March 18th and March 26th, 2017. The ships brought a total of around 3,000 passengers to the tropical coastal city.
This was the fourth time that “Crystal Symphony” had voyaged to Sanya. The cruise ship, which operates on the Vietnam-Sanya-Hong Kong route, carried 878 passengers during this visit.
The other luxury ship, “AIDAbella” carried a great many Germany passengers as it sailed into Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal last Saturday morning. It was the first time the cruise company AIDA Cruises had docked in Sanya.
For most German passengers aboard, it was their first visit to Sanya. Passengers reported that they were impressed by city’s warm weather and clean air after being cooped up onboard for the long trip. About 1,800 passengers were eager to explore their Sanya stopover, including the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Luhuitou Maintain Park, Dongtian Park, and much more.
"Over the course of the year we expect to welcome a number of cruise ships to our moorings,” said the cruise port’s authority. "Cruise ships give passengers the unique experience of waking in one of China’s most popular tourist cities, within easy reach of major tourist sites, such as the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone and Sanya Bay.”
In recent years, the Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal has concentrated on innovation in order to expand the number of cruise liners, of different sizes, that use the port.
