Sanya to add 27 new energy buses on two bus routes

To facilitate public transportation from Haitang Bay area to Sanya downtown and Phoenix Airport, a batch of 27 LNG plug-in electric hybrid buses will be put into service on the No.23 and No.33 bus lines on December 20th.
These buses are 10 meters long, featuring 42 seats. Among them, 10 buses are operated on the Tengqiao(藤桥)–Sanya Airport(三亚机场) route, and the 17 are on the Haitang Bay(海棠湾)-downtown center(三亚市区), bringing the total buses on these two routes to 16 and 27, respectively. The bus fare are between 2-16 yuan calculated by the distance travelled.

Besides, the route for the Bus No.33 have been adjusted. The buses start from Haitang Bay area and then high speed road directly to Lizhigou Road, Fenghuang Road to Sanya Phoenix Airport.
Sanya has been increasing the use of new-energy vehicles in the city in recent years, and most of them are the buses and taxis.
