The main structural work of a 7.7-km-long comprehensive underground pipe gallery is underway in Sanya.
 
 
 
The underground integrated pipe gallery is an important part of the urban infrastructure. The underground pipe gallery runs from Tengqiao Xihe to Haian Avenue, and is made up of electricity, communication, feed water, reclaimed water reuse and raw water pipelines. It is 7.7 kilometers in length, 5.45 meters in width and 5 meters in height.
 
 The road section between Tengqiao Xihe and Haian Avenue in Haiyu East Expressway will be transformed from a national Class-II road to an arterial road.
 
Meanwhile, the road section between Tengqiao Xihe and Haian Avenue in Haiyu East Expressway will be transformed from a national Class-II road to an arterial road. The road section will be expanded from the existing two-lane highway to a six-lane highway that is 9.42 kilometers in length and 42 meters in width.
 
After completion, this road will be a major urban arterial road in Haitang Bay, linking the main road network with the regional tourist attractions and development zones. It is expected to accelerate economic development in the northeast part of Sanya and be an impetus for the urbanization of Haitang Bay and Yalong Bay.
