SuperStar Virgo will return to Sanya on January 7, 2016 to embark on its seasonal homeport deployment, offering itineraries to Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Starting from January, the Sanya homeport will also feature a seven-night cruise starting on Thursdays and then calling at Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Vietnam’s Halong Bay, and Danang, creating new and appealing cruise holidays for guests from the region and beyond.

Star Cruises was the first international cruise line to take Sanya as its homeport. The SuperStar Aquarius first deployed to the city in 2011. As a pioneer in Asia’s cruise industry, Star Cruises has created numerous popular itineraries to the Sanya port and contributed significantly to the growth of the cruise market in the region.

SuperStar Virgo’ homeport deployment last year helped galvanize the development of Sanya’s cruise terminal facilities and the growth of the local cruise tourism economy, including provisioning and other supporting businesses.
