Delegation from Central Asian travel agents and media visit Sanya
A tourism delegation comprising of 30 delegates from Central Asian travel agents and media outlets visited Sanya on November 4th to inspect the tourism resources of Sanya in an effort to find more opportunities for cooperation.
A promotional conference was held that day at the Sanya Yalong Bay Marriott Resort and Spa. At the conference, representatives of Sanya travel agents introduced city’s rich tourism resources and tailored tour packages to the delegation.
Additionally, Sanya tourism authorities extended invitations to local travel operators to increase their share of the Sanya tourism market and to develop additional high-quality tourism products to meet demand for leisure and holiday travel for central Asian nations.
This April, the Sanya Tourism Development Commission organized a promotional activity at the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair 2015 (KITF Almaty 2015) to promote Sanya. Sunday Airlines, a Kazakh charter carrier, is planning to open an Almaty-Sanya charter flight route in January 2016. The new route will make it more convenient for tourists from Kazakhstan and its neighboring regions can choose to visit Sanya, one of the top holiday destinations in China.
The delegation will tour around some of the city’s hotels, major scenic spots, and the duty-free shopping complex in Haitang Bay in the coming days.
