Sanya is planning to build an Orchid Valley at Nandao Area, with the aim of building it into a popular destination for family trips as well as a tourism distribution center for nighttime activities.

The Orchid Valley will cover a land area of 2,800 acres and will include an orchid square, a flower street, a floral workshop, and a technical center integrating leisure, holidays and low-carbon sightseeing with local orchid culture.

The Orchid Valley, a combination of tourism and agriculture, is regarded as a good example of rural land reform and a good way to boost local farmers’ income.

In recent years, the Sanya government has paid great attention to building stronger ties between the tourism and floral sectors in the city and has made great achievements in this area.
