Sanya was named one of China’s top 10 most culturally creative tourism cities during the 2015 International Tourism Holiday Destination Forum of Innovation and Development held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province recently.
 
The other nine cities awarded were Chengdu, Huangshan, Wuzhou, Kashgar, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Xinchang, Lijiang and Tianjin.
 
This year’s forum had the theme “Culture and Creation lead to the New Era of Tourism Development.” The forum, which was the first of its kind, gathered 300 delegates from tourism authorities and industry representatives from home and abroad to share their experience and discuss potential cooperation.
