2015 Sanya Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival to be held Oct 21st
The annual Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival is set to kick off at the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya on October 21st, the “Double Ninth Day” of 2015.
A number of activities have been scheduled for the festival, including cultural and art performances, a seminar on social sciences and senior citizen culture, and a photo exhibition of centenarians.
Meanwhile, visitors over 70 years of age can enjoy free tickets to the festival by presenting their valid ID cards between October 21st and 27th.
As the only tropical coastal tourism destination in the country, Hainan is blessed with an extremely pleasant climate and a good ecological environment. To date, the Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival has been successfully held every year since 1999.
The Nanshan Longevity Cultural Festival honors senior citizens and features art and cultural performances and other assorted activities. The festival has several goals: to promote and develop the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation of respecting and venerating the old, to boost tourism and cultural development for the senior citizens of Nanshan, and to cultivate the brand of the festival.
