Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal
The second phase of construction of the Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal is currently underway. A team of over 300 construction workers are engaged in the project, whose second phase had total investment of three billion yuan.
This August, the Sanya government signed a joint-venture agreement with China Communications Construction Group (CCCG) and China National Travel Service (HK) Group Corporation.
According to the agreement, the cruise terminal will be equipped with supporting facilities such as hotel operations, commercial streets, cultural entertainment and other marine tourism activities.
When the second phase project is completed, the Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal will become the largest cruise terminal in Asia, with annual passenger throughput of up to two million.
