New international medical center to be built in Haitang Bay, Sanya
This June, the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and Evergrande Group jointly paid a site visit in Haitang Bay, Sanya, for the site selection of the new international hospital to be built in China.
The Sanya Government recently announced a new international medical center will be built in Haitang Bay.
Covering a land area of 520 acres, the Evergrande International Medical Center is a joint construction project between Evergrande Group, one of China’s largest real estate developers, and Harvard University Medical School. The project’s total investment will reach 10 billion yuan.
The medical project will be developed in two phases. Phase I will include an international hospital, and phase II will focus on the health, medical care and research infrastructure facilities.
The Harvard University Medical School is a top-ranked hospital in the United States. When the project is completed, it will provide management and medical personnel for the development of medical facilities in the region.
The medical center will benefit people across the island by helping to raise the level of medical care in Sanya.
