Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center to be turned into complex
Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center will be renamed the Sanya International Duty-free Complex.
The Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center, with investment by China International Travel Service Co., Ltd. (CITS), and operated by China Duty Free Group Co., Ltd (CDF), will be renamed the Sanya International Duty-free Complex to strengthen its tourism brand.
In order to create a new growth engine and promote the transformation and improvement of the tourism economy, China International Travel Service Co., Ltd. and the Sanya government signed a strategic cooperation agreement to boost the comprehensive operation of the duty-free industry.
The cooperation plan includes a lake islet project with a large food and beverage development area, and other cultural and entertainment facilities.
Additionally, construction on the phase-two project at the duty-free complex will start soon, with an aim of building the complex into a new urban landmark with modern tourism characteristics and commercial appeal.
