Three more international air routes are expected to be opened between Sanya and cities in Southeast Asian countries in August, according to a recent report.

There will be three chartered flights, including the Sanya-Bankok route, Sanya-Phuket route, and Sanya-Vientiane route.

The Sanya-Bankok route and the Sanya-Phuket route is likely to open on August 15 and the Sanya-Vientiane route is to open on August 18.

Meanwhile, existing Sanya-Seoul chartered flights have received good responses, with an average seat occupancy rate of around 85 percent since the route’s opening in April. To meet growing market demand, the number of weekly Sanya-Seoul flights will be increased to four from two starting August.

Additionally, to tap the European market, Sanya is looking at expanding its air network to Frankfurt in the near future.
