The Sanya government is launching a new subsidy scheme for aviation sector this year to encourage them to open more flight routes to boost the development of the local tourism.
 
According to the measures, airlines operating flights between Hong Kong (Taiwan/Macau)/other Asian regions/intercontinental regions and Sanya will receive different amount of subsidies for each landing and/or take-off.
 
Under the scheme, flights run by large aircraft with 200 seats or more between Hong Kong/Taiwan/Macau and Sanya will be provided a subsidy of 12,000 yuan for each landing and / take-off, flights between other Asian regions and Sanya will receive a subsidy of 20,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off and flights between other intercontinental regions and Sanya will receive a subsidy of 30,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off.
 
Besides, the government will provide airlines operating regular flights between Asian regions and Sanya a subsidy of 20,000 yuan for each landing and/or take-off, and a subsidy of 30,000 yuan that operating regular flights between intercontinental regions and Sanya for each landing and/or take-off.
 
The subsidy scheme is effective between July 1st and December 31st, 2015.
