Sanya solicits public opinion on Egret Park environmental protection law
The Sanya government is seeking public feedback regarding its new draft regulation protecting Egret Park. The new regulation is expected to establish a management system based on sustainable development.
Egret Park, situated by the Lingchun River, covers around 26.7 hectares. It has been one of the main places in the city for leisure activities for local residents and tourists. The new regulation will provide stronger protection for the park’s natural environment.
This is the first official document on public involvement in the urban environment in Sanya, which will work to make government decisions regarding the urban environment more transparent and democratic.
According to a spokesperson, the government will make a decision after all voices have been taken into consideration.
