Reconstruction work on Sanya’s Shengli Road starts
The upgrading of Shengli Road officially started on July 8th, 2015.
As one of the busiest roads in Sanya, the former narrow road section has been causing frequent traffic bottlenecks due to the multi-fold increase in vehicular traffic. The road expansion project has become inevitable to create more space for the smooth movement of the vehicles during rush hour with a long-term perspective.
The Shenli Road is to be rebuilt and expanded to the Urban Class II Standard, according to a detailed plan released by local government.
The reconstruction project of 4.33-km-long Shenli Road stretches from Airport Road in the north to Jiangang Road in the south.
After the expansion of Shenli, the new road will be 35-40 meters wide with two-direction four-lane runways.
