According to a report released by a leading travel platform in China, Sanya is among the top 10 popular summer holiday destinations in China this year.
 
The top 10 domestic destinations are Beijing, Dalian, Suzhou, Qingdao, Yangzhou, Sanya, Xi’an, Ningxia, and Chengdu.
 
In recent years, Sanya has enjoyed a rise in popularity among urban domestic tourists, whose interest in beach tourism during the summer holiday has been steadily growing.
 
Overseas trips have also proved popular among Chinese tourists during the annual summer vacation period. The top favored overseas destinations are Thailand, Japan, Bali, France, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, America, and Australia.
