Sanya’s Haitang Bay sees tourism boom in first half of year
The hotels and scenic spots in Haitang Bay welcomed a total of 4.98 million tourists in the first half of this year. Total tourism revenue reached 3.52 billion yuan, according to the Haitang Bay Management Committee.
Hotels in Haitang Bay welcomed more than 740,000 tourists, enjoying a year-on-year increase of 36 percent.
During the period, the average room rate for top-of-the-line sea-view hotels in the region stood at 1,043 yuan, and the average hotel occupancy rate reached 66 percent.
As more tourists are opting to spend extra money for a quality holiday, many hotels have launched their own special tour packages including honeymoon packages, family packages and healthcare packages to lure these visitors.
In response to the increasing flow of tourists, scenic spots in Haitang Bay are seeking new approach to provide higher quality holiday tours to visitors.
