Sanya’s tourism industry can expect a boost when the 65th Final will be held in the city for the 6th time.
 
This year’s Miss World event returns to China, with the final set to take place at Sanya Beauty Crown Hotel on Saturday 19th December in Sanya.
 
The beach town Sanya has held Miss World Pageant for five times since 2003 and witnessed the first Miss World from China being crowned in 2007, drawing the world’s eye on its tropical attractions. This year, the Reigning Miss World Rolene Strauss will have the honor of crowning Sanya’s 6th Miss World.
 
Miss World is the longest running event of its kind. Launched in 1951, it has become the world’s most watched annual event, with a worldwide viewing audience of over 1 billion.
