Local government urges more efforts to build Sanya into a high-quality tourism destination with its top-class services, rich leisure products and distinctive culture to attract tourists across the world.
 
The government encourages developers to build premium hotels and resorts in Hainan. Meanwhile, family-operated hotels and property-rental services will be encouraged.
 
The government also launched other measures to boost the city’s development, including expanding Phoenix Island Cruise Terminal, offering more duty-free services, reducing pollution and building more information networks.
 
The plan also includes measures to promote modern large-scale projects, such as infrastructure facilities, theme parks.
 
There will also be an emphasis on the expansion of international air network. Special financial subsidies will be provided to encourage qualified airlines companies to boost Sanya on the international tourism market.
