Sanya Dalong Reservoir

Recent continuous rains caused by Typhoon Kujira the past three days have channeled 13.77 million cubic metes of water into the city’s reservoirs, which currently hold 30% of their total capacity, according to the city’s flood and drought prevention office.

The typhoon supplied the city’s reservoirs with much-needed water, particularly the reservoirs such as Dalong Reservoir, Chitian Reservoir, Shuiyuanchi Reservoir, Fuwan Reservoir and Banling Reservoir.

As of June 23rd, the Dalong Reservoir received around 5,310,000 cubic meters, while the Chitian Reservoir received 2,690,000 cubic meters.

Meanwhile, the government has lifted water rationing on Tuesday after the rains helped ease its worst drought in over a decade.
