A vegetation restoration project intended to improve the landscape and ecology of Sanya Bay is underway.

The vegetation restoration project is located at the coastal greenbelts and the dunes on the section of Grand Soluxe Hotel & Resort Sanya and Sanya Bihailou Resort Hotel, spanning a length of 1.4 km.

In recent years, the increase in offshore economic development has caused environmental problems for the coastal landscape and dune system.

Currently, only about 1 kilometer of beach vegetation, in an area near Haipo Village, has been well-preserved.

Beach vegetation is a critical component to maintaining beach stability and can serve as protection against coastal erosion.

All the newly planted vegetation will be well cultivated and protected from pedestrian traffic to form a delicate system for beach nourishment.
