Sanya signed 8 projects with enterprises in Shenzhen, involving a total investment of about 1.4 billion yuan, at the Hainan investment promotion conference held in Shenzhen on May 13.

The 8 projects include the Hainan Animation Industry Base’s 6 project with a total investment of 119 million yuan, Sanya International Exhibition Center project with an investment of 1.28 billion yuan and Yalong Bay Tropical Forest Park project with an investment of 22 million yuan.

Sanya is accelerating the construction of its culture industry. In 2014, the added value of the culture industry accounted for more than 5.1% of the regional GDP.

As of now, the city introduced 46 large-scale projects. These projects cover cultural tourism, conferences and exhibitions, entertainment performances, themed studios, animation and leisure rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) is being held from May 14th to 18th. Sanya’s 19 cultural projects including Sanya Qianguqing Park, Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center, Haitang Bay Dream City, Yalong Bay Rose Park will woo investors at the fair.
