Sanya’s 7 major scenic spots receive 177,200 visitors during May Day holiday

According to the Sanya Holiday Management Office, seven major scenic spots in Sanya received a total of 177,200 visitors during the 2015 May Day holiday, up 31.89% year-on-year.
Statistics show the number of tourists visiting Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone was 38,800. Meanwhile, the Tianyahaijiao Scenic Spot and Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park received 31,000 tourists and 17,300 tourists, respectively.
Sanya set up regulations on hotel room rates during the holiday. The hotels in Sanya maintained an average occupancy rate of 61%.
Besides, from April 30th to May 2nd, the Haitang Bay Duty-free Shopping Center saw 44,796 visitors, with total sales revenue recorded at 40.75 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 75.59%.
The Sanya Phoenix International Airport received a total of 804 flights, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%.
