Sanya strives to be top MICE destination in China
On April 14th-16th, the Sanya tourism authorities participated in IT&CM (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings) China 2015, striving to position Sanya as a key venue in China for the MICE travel industry,
During the conference, representatives from a dozen domestic buyers showed a great deal of interest in Sanya’s expertise in the MICE sector.
Since 2012, Sanya has signed strategic cooperation deals with 7 other Chinese cities, those being: Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming and Xi’an, to construct China into a world-class MICE destination through cross-region cooperation on tourism resources.
With its unique tropical natural environment, Sanya is regarded as a quality destination for meetings and events, according to many travel professionals.
The growing MICE capacities and first-class facilities in Sanya have driven its reputation as a favorable destination for award-wining business tourism. At present, Sanya has successfully hosted over 10,000 conference business activities.
