Sanya will send a delegation to attend the 12th China-ASEAN Expo, which will be held from May 29th to 31st in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Province, in order to strengthen the tourism cooperation and exchanges between Hainan and ASEAN countries.       
 
According to Mrs. Wang Feifei, the Vice Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, the Southeast Asian market has traditionally been the most important tourist source market for Sanya, especially countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Since Tiger Airways and Jetstar Airways opened regular flights between Hainan and Southeast Asian regions, the annual number of Singaporean tourists to Hainan has increased.
 
Meanwhile, Thailand is also an important gathering place for overseas Hainanese. This time, Sanya is planning to give great attention to holding promotional conferences that will highlight Li and Miao tourist products to lure more Thai tourists.
