Hainan publishes 1st Russian tour guide book
Russia is the largest foreign tourist source market for Hainan. In the first quarter of 2010, Sanya has received 331,000 visits from Russian tourists, an increase of 18.48%. There are many tour guides speaking Russian in Hainan, but there is no book in Russian comprehensively introducing Hainan’s scenic spots, its history, and its local customs.
This newly-published book is in Chinese and Russian targeting readers like tour guides, students majoring in Russian, and others who want to be tour guides.
Besides giving detailed introductions to tourist attractions such as Tianya Haijiao, Luhuitou, Yalong Bay, Nanshan, and the Temple of Five Lords, the book also includes contents about traditional Chinese culture and some unique things in China, such as Chinese poems, the Four Treasures of Study, Spring Festival couplets, and Chinese Classical Garden, helping tour guides provide better services to Russian tourists who want to know more about Chinese culture.
