Sanya sent a tourism promotion delegation to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, recently with an aim of attracting more tourists from Minsk to Sanya.

The delegation, headed by Yang Yi, the deputy investigator of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, met representatives and experts from Belarus tourism sectors and had discussions on a wide range of issues, including ways of enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in tourism domains.

In the meeting, Mr. Yang introduced the development of Hainan and its tourism industry which is full of strong tropical characteristics. He said that the unique healthcare tourism products were specially introduced to Belorussian tourists as it is part of government’s effort to boost the number of visitors to the city.

Representatives from TOP TUR, the largest travel agent in Belarus, also said Sanya had bright prospects for the development of tourism. He also pointed out that the white beaches, preferable prices and convenient transportation will make Sanya an alluring destination for people from Belarus.

After the visit in Belarus, the Hainan tourism promotion delegation will continue its trip to other regions in Russia.
