A ban on fishing will go into effect in the waters off Sanya Bay. The ban will make it illegal to catch fish within 7 nautical miles of the shore with an aim of protecting the marine ecological environment.

Sanya Bay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city. However, the improper exploitation and the serious pollution caused by human activities have brought a series of ecological problems to the area.

The local government has strengthened its management of Sanya Bay. According to the prescribed functions, Sanya Bay will be divided into a swimming zone, a fishing zone, a motorboating zone, a sailing sports zone, and a seaplane zone.

Meanwhile, any sea sand dredging without approval by the relevant departments or waste discharges found deteriorating water conditions will be strictly banned and strictly punished by the authorities.
