Helen, the Executive Director of ISAF (International Sailing Federation), visited Sanya recently and met with Xv Zhenling, the Vice Mayor of Sanya, to discuss and exchange ideas on preparations for the 2015 ISAF Annual Conference.
 
Mrs. Xv said Sanya is honored to be the host city for the annual sailing conference. “The city will relish the chance to show its charm to the attendants from around the world," she said, also confirming that Sanya would showcase its achievements and development potential and try to capture the world’s attention during the event.
 
Sanya is building itself a strong reputation for hosting international sailing events. Recently, Sanya hosted the Volvo Ocean Race, the Round Hainan Island International Regatta and the Hong Kong – Sanya International Sailing Competition.
 
The ISFA Annual Conference 2015 is expected to be held in early November and will last about 10 days.
 
In 2013, Sanya attended the ISAF Annual Conference held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, and submitted their application to host the ISAF Annual Conference 2015 and won the bid at the ISAF Annual Conference 2014 held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
