Sanya sees rise in hotel occupancy as 2015 BFA approaches
Hotels in Sanya have seen an obvious increase in their hotel occupancy rates as the 2015 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference approaches.
According to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, most of the hotels in Boao have been fully booked for the upcoming Boao Forum.
The forum also is bringing a further boost in hotel occupancy in Sanya’s surrounding regions.
Currently, the average hotel occupancy rate in Sanya’s hotels remains around 70%. Among them, the occupancy rate of official reception hotels for the forum are slightly higher at 85%．
During the Boao Forum period, the general room rates of these reception hotels, which include Sheraton, MGM, Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton and Hilton in Yalong Bay, are required to remain at the same level as last year.
