The luxury cruise ship of Arcadia operated by Carnival Cruise Lines berthed at Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal for the first time at 8:00am on March 18th, 2015.
 
With a total tonnage of 83,000 tons, the cruise ship, operated on the Hong Kong-Sanya-Vietnam route, carried a total of 2,806 passengers and crew members from the US, Australia, Italy, and other countries and regions to Sanya during the visit.
 
On that day, passengers took time to visit some tourist attractions in Sanya, including Sanya Bay, Dadonghai and Yalong Bay. It is the second time that a cruise ship from Carnival Cruise Lines has visited Sanya this year, following the cruise ship Queen Mary 2 earlier this year.
